Dance and creative movement are one of our children's favorite classes. One is a morning class and the other is in afternoon. This is a class where children get to move the music. Babies bounce up and down while toddlers crawl, walk and jump; and our preschoolers begin to learn gross motor skills.
Gardening is in the morning activity that uses children's senses. Children get to see, feel and smell soil and plants. Older children learn the science of how a plant grows and about different kind of plants. This is a great hands on experience for all ages.
Yoga is offered for our preschool aged children. They have been enjoying learning different poses and breathing techniques. We have been able to incorporate yoga into our classroom when trying to create a peaceful setting. This is also an afternoon activity and has been a wonderful addition to our program.
Judaics with Rabbi Holtz is a class for our older children. They get to know Rabbi Holtz on a one to one setting. They hear stories and learn about the Jewish culture. Children enjoy sharing what they are thankful for with Rabbi Holtz.
Sign Language is offered to all our children. They see stories and songs in sign as well as learning basic signs. Our teachers are also learning with the children and able to reinforce the sign with them. A letter goes home with you to let you know the signs they learned so you may also use them in you house. This has been a great way for helping young children increase their vocabulary as well as express their feeling.
Art is an class where children get to explore with this materials for create wonderful works of art. They learn skills such as fine motor and colors. They get to explore and have science as Incorporated as well.
